This map I created and edited with FinalAlert2 Yuri's Revenge. If you'd like for me to make a tutorial video on how to make/download maps, comment to let me know. After you have it installed and you are running vista, Right click the program and click "Run as administer" other wise it should work fine. Also, for your new map to be saved as a yuri's revenge game and not a red alert2 game, you must put something in the map that is in yuri's revenge. Otherwise, it will just be playable for RedAlert2. This is a Mod, Not a Mod Map. Having the map will only have a bunch of buildings and people. None of the stuff seen in this video will be possible. Due to request, I made another video explaining (hopefully better explaining) on how to make mod maps. This is not a tutorial! this is basicly for those who did not understand the last video this video is a response to. Go to this link here: yrarg.cncguild.net and download either Red alert 2 INI files or Yuris Revenge ini files (depending on what kind of map you are making and what game its going to be on). Once that is done, open the map you desire to mod, and go to OPTIONS, and uncheck Beginer mode, Afterwards, you should be able to go to EDIT and look towards the bottom and find an option called INI Editing, Click that. From here should be a pop-up. It should have a few clickable boxes saying ADD and Delete and so fourth, near the top of the pop-up is 3 boxes (Below the drop-down list) and says in order: ADD, DELETE, INSERT OTHER INI FILE (atleast something like that). click the one that says ADD and type in the building section code.... if you do not know what the buildings code is, this is why i recemond the INI rules files. After opening the Ini file name RULES.INI (if RA2) or RULESMD.INI (if yuris revenge) with notepad, you should come across alot of text mainly talking about promotion coding such as veterancy and stuff, Ignore this for now. Type in the building name you desire to mod in your map to find the section code for it, for an example, type in Tech oil derrick and press find and you should find its name next to a number with an equal sign with CAOILD typed <b>...</b>

For those of you who enjoy classic PC games, here's a new mission I wrote for the original Command & Conquer: Red Alert called 'Jackpot'. It's a Soviet-on-Soviet mission with several units modded and it takes place on a map I created from scratch using the Red Alert Map Editor (and a few other modding tools). HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE JACKPOT MISSION You can download the mission here (free!): majorslack.com To install and play the mission, simply unzip the downloaded zip file and then copy the scu-0001.mix file into your Red Alert game directory (typically this is C:\WESTWOOD\REDALERT). Type in CAOILD and then click the arrow and select CAOILD and go to the add button below the arrow on the left. here you can type the following: Strength=1000 (this is how much HP it has) ProduceCashAmount=1000 (this is how much money it gives at a time) ProduceCashDelay=1000 (this is how often it gives cash) ProduceCashStartup=1000 (this is how much money you get when you capture it) TechLevel=1 (-1 and under makes it so human players cant build it, but AI still can. 11 and higher makes it so nobody including AI computer players can build them. 1-10 is for being buildable.) READ THIS HD Version here of this tutorial: www.youtube.com This only works for yuri's Revenge. How to get started: Download "Final alert 2 Yuri's revenge" yrarg.cncguild.net Then run it. Go to Edit on top of page after starting final alert 2. then go to trigger editor, and a pop-up should apear. select new Trigger box near top right. Making Trigger work: Go to Events Tab in same pop-up and select an event, each dose something different. 8 Any Event... Instant trigger start. 13 Elapsed Time... Countdown in Game seconds. may varry on computer speed/ internet speed. Getting Trigger to actually do something: Go to Actions Tab and select "New Action" and select one of the actions, if you did other 2 steps above, then the action will work. keep in mind it may cause IE for not all Triggers actually work in skirmish. get buildings or units in start of game: Now, do the simple steps above until you get to Actions. in the actions Tab, select "14 Change House" and select the player below. Then you are done with triggers, go back to map, place the building or Unit or even infantry and then click on them and go click on the arrow on very bottom of new pop-up and select the trigger you just made (reason why naming is important) and done. If you have alot of stuff on map and you are going to make it all one house anyways you can make it instad in actions "14 Change House..." make it "36 All Change House..." which makes all the units, buildings, etc owned by the house listed on first <b>...</b>

We all seen in my latest video a map really large. Some of us once wanted to know how to do it. I doubt anybody discovered this yet and actually told the public thinknig its common sense (kinda is) but today, i show you in a video something I yet again learned on my own. How to make a map 400 cells long or tall. I made a map in this video 100x400 cells. which is not only not just the snow map, but already bigger then VK's map. This method is not only fun and interesting and.... Fun.... but very EASY. First make a new map, ignore the size options and simply select the theater you desire. I stayed at temprate. Now save the map and give it a file name you will easilly remember. I save it as BIGMAP. select what type of map you wish to make it by going to "save as type" and picking the game there. If you play Yuri's revenge, then pick yuri's revenge. KEEP IN MIND I HAVET TESTED IT IN PLAIN RA2 AND DOUBT IT WILL WORK FOR RA2. Though i KNOW it works for Yuri's revenge. Which is why i saved it as Yuri's revenge. Now after you save it, go into the folder you saved it in, most likley RA2 Folder; and right click it and select "open with..." and look for a text program like Notepad or wordpad. then click ok and you will see allot of text. press on your keyboard CTRL+F and type in size and press enter. first one may pop up next to "[Preveiw]Size". Ignore that one and press enter again and it should pop up next to the very last one which should be exactly like this: "[map]Size=0,0 <b>...</b>
