Get the ini Rules that you may find mentioned alot in this guide in this link, look down for "YR INIS" www.yrarg.cncguild.net IF YOU DO NOT HAVE FINAL ALERT 2 MAP EDITOR THEN YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD IT HERE IN SAME LINK ABOVE***** This will show how to not only make the Tech Oil Derrick give more cash but how to make it working a buildable. open the Final Alert and open the map you desire to edit and with beginner mode off, go to edit, then ini edit and then click the top Add Section button. Type in CAOILD and then click the arrow and select CAOILD and go to the add button below the arrow on the left. here you can type the following: Strength=1000 (this is how much HP it has) producecashamount=1000 (this is how much money it gives at a time) producecashdelay=1000 (this is how often it gives cash) producecashstartup=1000 (this is how much money you get when you capture it) techlevel=1 (this is the technology level it has, in many Command and conquer games, you can drag something that lets you decide the maximum technolongy level people can have, this was removed from red alert 2, now because the technology level only lets people build 1-10, -1 makes it so people can not build it, but AI can, but at 11, nobody including AI can not build it.) aibuildthis=yes (this lets you decide if you want the AI to ever build this structure. Remember, if Tech Level above 10 means AI can not build it anyways.) Prerequisite=BARRACKS (type in the building code, for an example, CAOILD, for that ...

Due to request, I made another video explaining (hopefully better explaining) on how to make mod maps. This is not a tutorial! this is basicly for those who did not understand the last video this video is a response to. Go to this link here: yrarg.cncguild.net and download either Red alert 2 INI files or Yuris Revenge ini files (depending on what kind of map you are making and what game its going to be on). Once that is done, open the map you desire to mod, and go to OPTIONS, and uncheck Beginer mode, Afterwards, you should be able to go to EDIT and look towards the bottom and find an option called INI Editing, Click that. From here should be a pop-up. It should have a few clickable boxes saying ADD and Delete and so fourth, near the top of the pop-up is 3 boxes (Below the drop-down list) and says in order: ADD, DELETE, INSERT OTHER INI FILE (atleast something like that). click the one that says ADD and type in the building section code.... if you do not know what the buildings code is, this is why i recemond the INI rules files. After opening the Ini file name RULES.INI (if RA2) or RULESMD.INI (if yuris revenge) with notepad, you should come across alot of text mainly talking about promotion coding such as veterancy and stuff, Ignore this for now. Type in the building name you desire to mod in your map to find the section code for it, for an example, type in Tech oil derrick and press find and you should find its name next to a number with an equal sign with CAOILD typed ...

This time, I am actually going to show you how to make a mode thats pretty popular out of you people, Crates of Chaos. Which may surprise you how easy it is to make and why I am far from proud of my "work". First, you get a hold of two Ini Files, if you have them already then great, but if you Do not, download them here: yrarg.cncguild.net And either download RA2 INI For regular Red alert 2 or YR INI for the Yuri's Revenge Expansion users. Inside is mpmodes.ini (For Yuri's Revenge, mpmodesmd.ini) and when you open that, you will see some text, There is manbattles, and others. [manbattles] is the section where any mode that can only be played online can be found at. If you wish this mode to be online only, then go ahead and place it here, but keep in mind that mods do not work online unless the other people have it too... [Battle] is the offline section, same thing as above but offline. If you wish to be able to play it without being online, then use this section instead. Now under each section is Numbers with an = sign next to it. Use a number not mentioned before, I used 10 in this video; Then Type in the following information: Number=(Insert name from .CSF file, ignore for now), (Description text, ignore for now), (The Ini files name you given it, basicly if you named the Ini file "GODZILLAISFAT.ini" you would place here "GODZILLAISFAT.ini" here), (The kind of maps it uses, like if you wish for it to use naval maps, put Navalwar here. look at others for a good example ...

This works for both. First, obtain the Multiplayer mode Ini's and then Simply open up the main Ini file "MPMODES.ini" and if Yuri's Revenge open up "MPMODESMD.ini" and simply look at the sections, "[manbattles]" means battles against humans, which means These are for online, Then there is the section above named simply "[Battle]" which is the section for offline. To make all of them modes you wish to play offline, be offline playable, simply Copy and paste all the modes under [manbattles] under [Battle] instead. Then much like the Rules.ini (or Rulesmd.ini for Yuri's revenge) you place it in the RA2 Folder. now when you go on your RA2 game, you will see the modes appear under the map selection screen. Now have fun! keep in mind Unholy alliance does not work. Any questions, go ahead and ask. To download the Ini files, scroll down for what you need here, if you are modding RA2 with no Yuri's revenge expansion, then download RA2. If you are modding Yuri's Revenge, then download YR Ini files: yrarg.cncguild.net

How to make weapons for your buildings, infantry, tanks, ships, aircraft, and squids and doplhins and crap.... Anim= (this is what anim to use, Like Gunfire Anim or so forth.) areafire=no (This is asking if it shoots the ground below him, think Desolators deploy weapon) Bright=yes (If set to yes, it makes a very bright light when hitting the area) Burst=5 (How many shots per a round dose it give? like how the apocalypse shoots two shots every round?) Camera=yes (dose shroud temporarrly disapear? Prism tanks uses this.) Damage=9001 (how much damage the weapon makes, most important to weapon, you can place negetive and postitive number here) Floater=yes (floats like a frizbee; Quoted from actual Rules.ini, no better way to explain it) Lobber=no (Dose it shoot with a big arc? you know, like an Artillary, or the howitzer) minimumrange=2 (The minimum range, recemonded when using big warheads) Projectile= (what kind of prejectile it uses, like dose it shoot a cannon like Rihno tank or dose it shoot like something else?) radlevel=-1 (0 being the lowest, how much radiation it leaves? depending on the warhead is how much Cell spread it dose, the higher the number, the longer it stays. -1 is forever) Range=255 (How far it shoots.) ROF=-1 (How long it takes until it shoots a round, -1 means it never stops firing.) Report= (the sound it makes) Speed=100 (how fast it hits its target, DO NOT GO OVER 100!!!!) Supress= (Unsure) turboboost=yes (if targetted on aircraft, dose it go faster ...

this is for the side bar. Even if its for buildings to aircraft, tanks to infantry. This will work. Even Super weapons. To do this. Simply download the SHP Editor Here: yrarg.cncguild.net Download SHP Builder. Afterwards, open it up. Afterwards, Select New and select RA2 under Game and then Cameo under Type. Then press Ok. Then a pop-up will ask if you would like to keep the settings or if you would like to use the defualt settings for cameo. Select No so you get the proper setting for cameo. Though you should of set the settings properly, I am to lazy and its quicker to let the program do it itself. So after that, Select Pallete and select Ra2, then cameo. Then use the tools to the left to make something original. You may find it a pretty hard thing todo with this program to make anything decent for cameos. So i would recemond either Using Paint, photoshop, or other programs and simply Copying the image then paste it, or go on the internet such as i did and copy a pic and paste it. Once you decide what you do, when you paste the image, let it enlarge. If you do not, then it will only show a small part of the image. When its bigger, Go to Edit then Resize. Make the Width 60, and the height 48. Once thats done, click ok. it may not look good and may look pretty blocky, so you might want to go to Tools and Effects and select smoothing options. Be careful here, some of them can make it worst. Afterwards, go back to tools, then misc. In there is a cameo generator. Select it ...

Download the XCC files here: xhp.xwis.net Then Open the XCC Mixer and Click File the select Open. From here go to the RA2 Directory which is located most often in: Program files\Westwood\RA2 Program files\EA Games\The First Decade\Red alert 2(TM)\RA2 And select expandmd01 and open it. Inside is several files but What I am going to teach you today is the simple part of modding. Select the Rulesmd.ini and save it somewhere you will remember. Open it with notepad (should open with notepad automaticly) and change values to what you desire, Read things carefully and change the values. I do not recemond making any new weapons or units yet. Get the feel of changing values first... Check out the weapons (listed as primary under units and buildings) and press CTRL + F and look for the primary to change it, simply making up a name under the unit will not do. Any questions ask and ill answer as best as I can. WINDOWS VISTA USERS-- yrarg.cncguild.net Click link for the ini files. common questions: Q:Where Can I download this mp3? What is it? A: It is HELLMARCH 3 (HM3) by Frank Klepacki and can be purchased from soundtracks. If you want it free, then Google is your friend. plus I wish to keep my videos as clean as possible from pirated crap. This is me and my cousin playing on LAN. Please check out cncnet sometimes... It's for the first C&C though! You may get cncnet here: cncnet.cnc-comm.com ======================================= What is cncnet? cncnet is an open source unofficial (as in not supported by EA) tool created by Command & Conquer Fans for the first Command & Conquer game; "Command & Conquer" also known as "Tiberian Dawn". cncnet allows you to play "network" games over the internet up to the maximum supported players (which is 4 in the official version and 6 in Nyerguds' 1.06 patch). cncnet uses peer to peer (p2p) technology to connect multiple instances of C&C95 together and it allows you to play with up to 6 players online! For games to be smooth we recomend that you play with players on your own continent, but if you don't mind some lag a European player can play with a US player. But try to avoid extremes as a Canadian player playing with someone from New Zealand, because that will have extreme lag! So basically the closer the players are the better. ======================================== FAQ Q: How do I make or join a game? A: At the main menu: Go to multiplayer and then network, to create a game click on "New", to join a game click on the "Join" button. Q: I see no one in the network lobby! A: You won't see people in the lobby unless you click on a game and you cannot communicate with anyone inside games unless you join them. If you see no games then these can be one of the reasons: 1 ...

Download the program here: yrarg.cncguild.net and download the Missing text fixer program. Though this only works if you are doing a mod (sorry map modders) Its still great thing to use. What you do is first get your hands on a RA2.CSF file (Or RA2MD.CSF for Yuri's revenge) and open it up with this program. When you download the file and open up the .Zip folder.... make sure you read the readme it has inside it. He did a good job putting this program up together for all of us, all he ask is to read the readme. After done reading the readme file, Open up the Program named "ra2stredit" and then it will open up a little window. Select Open in file above and open up a .CSF file, this zip comes with an english version already (if you need another one, then you will need to extract one of your own from your game). Once its done loading, You might wanna go through them and get an idea what you are going todo. All you do really is make up some random text. I wanted to name a tank of mine "New Tank" so I went in my Rules.ini and looked for HTNK (i did not make a new tank yet :p) and I went to the tag "uiname=" tag and changed it. I put down "uiname=Name:LOL" and then went inside the CSF reading program and made a section named that. To do that, you need to go upto "EDIT" and select "INSERT STRING" and then a small window pops up. Change the above text in the bar from its example text to whatever you placed after uiname= and done... Since in my rules.ini i placed down "Name:LOL" i ...
