DJ Red Alert is recognized and respected worldwide as one of the founding fathers of Hip-Hop music and culture! After earning a rep spinning at clubs all over downtown Manhattan, he started to DJ on air, working at nyc's KISS FM for over a decade. He also joined forces with BDP and helped launch the careers of Native Tongue-sters A Tribe Called Quest, Jungle Brothers, and Black Sheep. He's released several compilation albums over the years, frequently judges DMC competitions, has been inducted into both the Rap and Rock And Roll Hall Of Fames, and has appeared in over 50 videos. He has received numerous awards and accolades including a special award at the first annual Rap Hall of Fame Awards show.
