Red Alert, developed by Westwood Studios and published by Virgin Interactive in 1996, was a spin-off of the Command & Conquer series with two different factions: the Soviet Union and the Allies. The story was about Albert Einstein, who built a time machine to eliminate Hitler, preventing World War II as we know it. Unfortunately, he stopped one evil to create another one. Stalin now wants to conquer Europe. The current copyright owner, Electronic Arts, re-released this game as freeware to promote Red Alert 3.
